Mary H. Simonton

Mary H. Simonton, 85, of Collierville, passed away April 21, 2011, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. A memorial celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 28, at Collierville Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Mary was a graduate of Ole Miss and the University of Denver, and she worked for many years in the care of developmentally delayed children. Her passion in life was serving her Lord and caring for her family. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Henry Simonton; five children, Chuck Booz (Lynn), Debbi Bacon (Mel), David Booz, Dan Booz, and Jane Johnson (Harold); two stepchildren, Charmayne Bowes (Frank) and Lynn Cole (Jerry); seventeen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and her sister, Jane Vanden Brink. She was preceded in death by her stepson, Sam Simonton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Love Worth Finding Ministries.
