Michael was born to parents William and Doris Tucker in Shelbyville, IN. He was the younger brother of Bill and attended Southwestern High School where he was valedictorian before continuing to Indiana University and then New York University where he obtained his master’s degree in Mathematics. During college, he joined the ROTC and then the Air Force which led him to the Pentagon where he was a government contractor in Computer Science. After retiring from civil service, he found his true calling as a balloon artist that let him enjoy his love of entertaining kids of all ages at public events, Grizzly Games, and birthday parties around the Memphis area.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, William and Doris Tucker, his brother, Billy Tucker, and his eldest son, Bryan Tucker. He is survived by his wife, Margo Tucker, his children, Stacey Boatright, Michael Curran, Jacqueline Tucker and David Tucker, and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held for the limited public at Collierville Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 12, 2020, with a reception shortly thereafter. The family is requesting donations to St. Jude Hospital in lieu of flowers.
