Nichole "Niki" Sharkey

Nichole “Niki” Sharkey, 48, of Potts Camp, Mississippi, passed away on March 12, 2026, following a brief illness. Born on September 4, 1977, Niki was a lifelong Memphian who lived with a full heart and a spirit that was impossible to forget.

Niki was an incredibly hard worker, who built a career that spanned several industries. She spent time in restaurant and food service, worked in the landscape industry, and ultimately found her professional home at Covenant, where she dedicated nearly 20 years of her life.

Niki was kind, loving, and unapologetically herself. She had a warmth about her that drew people in, and once you were part of her world, you stayed there. She cared deeply for her friends, her family, and every canine companion lucky enough to share her home. Of all the roles she played in her life, being “NeNe” was the one she treasured most. She had a natural connection with children, and they felt it just as strongly.

She was an avid music lover and concert goer, leaning toward classic rock performers such as Led Zeppelin and Deftones. She was a die hard sports fan, supporting her Memphis Tigers and Grizzlies.

Niki is preceded in death by her mother and father, Linda and Sonny Campbell, as well as her sister, Robin. Niki leaves behind countless family members who will miss her deeply. These include, but are certainly not limited to, her son, John Sharkey Jr. (Juste); sister-in-law, Lucy; nieces Ashleigh, Selena, and Alley; nephews Michael Brady, Chandler (Karli), Michael Parker (Matthew), Anthony, Daniel (Elyse); and one grandchild, Harper, in addition to great nieces and nephews she considered her own. Niki also leaves behind her partner of eight years, Nathan Hall, as well as the rest of the Hall family who wholeheartedly considered Niki a part of their family.

A memorial service will be held at Collierville Funeral Home, 3863 Bailey Station Road, on Monday, March 23, with visitation from 9-10 AM and service beginning at 10:00. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Sharkey home, in Collierville, TN.
