BORN AUGUST 27, 1950
DIED APRIL 14, 2021
Pamela Leigh Miller McKinney, “Pam,” of Collierville, TN, wife of Harold Thomas McKinney Jr., “Tommy,” passed away Wednesday evening, April 14, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital. Pam was born August 27, 1950 and was raised in Memphis, TN, graduating from Hillcrest High School in 1968. Pam attended the University of Mississippi at Oxford. She was retired from the Memphis Commercial Appeal Newspaper after 35 years of service in the Classified Ads Division.
Pam and Tommy were married in 1970 at St Luke’s Methodist Church. They have a daughter, Andrea Fleener, and a grandson Jacob. Pam also leaves behind a stepson, Jon Charles McKinney of Tunica, MS, two brothers, Paul Miller of Memphis, TN and Andy Miller of Panama City, FL, sister-in-law, Dawn Evans (Mark), and Penny McKinney Smith, and several nieces and nephews. Pam was predeceased by her parents, Nina Jean and Robert Miller.
Pam was beloved by all who knew her. Her quiet, sweet nature endeared her to many and her talents for creative cooking and decorating will be remembered as one who loved sharing her God-given gifts with others. It is too bad Better Homes and Gardens never knew of Pam. She could have added immensely to their influence in making homes more beautiful inside and out.
Those who knew Pam best referred to her as “Tommy and Pam,” as the two names were synonymous as one.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 16, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 17, with burial following in Magnolia Cemetery, off the Collierville Town Square.
