

In 1954, She graduated from Cass Technical High School (the only magnet high school in Detroit at that time) and went on to pursue a college education at Michigan State University. There she met her husband Timothy J. Johnson, Jr. They were married in Detroit on November 30, 1957.
In 1960, they moved to Rantoul, Illinois, where Timothy began a career as a civil servant employee for the United States Air Force at Chanute Air Force Base. Patricia, later began working with the Rantoul City Schools as an accountant in 1968. In addition to working, she was also very active in the PTA, and accompanying her artist husband along with their son and daughter to various art shows throughout the years. The family also became members of Bethany Park Christian church. She worked for the school system for 14 years, where she retired in 1982, when they moved to San Antonio, TX. There she continued her career in accounting and joined her husband as a civil servant employee for Kelly Air Force Base.
She and her husband moved to Collierville, TN in 2014. There she became a member of Central Church where she came to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and grow in deepening her relationship with her Savior.
Over the years, she was also a very talented table decorator for the holidays in her home. She participated in various crafts and particularly enjoyed challenging her mind by playing games like Scrabble, and solving crossword and Suduko puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. Hoye, Sr., and his wife Lou Bertha Hoye, her husband Timothy J. Johnson, Jr; her brothers, Walter B. Hoye, and William Hoye.
Mourning her passing are her son, Darryl J. Johnson; Daughter, Dianne P. Satchell (Stan); Sister-in-laws Dianne Hoye, Dr. Evelyn D. Johnson; Nieces, Zaynah J. Johnson, Jo-Ann M. Hoye; Nephews, Tony Hoye (Maria), Troy Hoye; Cousins, Grayford Williams (Sylvia); Leverette/Bubba Williams (Marie); Connie Somerville (Joe); and Aunt, Lottie Bell Wright (Willie). She will also be missed by many extended family members and friends.
A Memorial service for Pat will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, December 6, at Collierville Funeral Home, 3863 Bailey Station Rd, Collierville, TN.
Following the service, a reception with food and refreshments will be held at the funeral home, and all are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
