

After graduating from high school, Peggy began her professional career with The Bell Telephone Company, where she dedicated 25 years of service. She then joined Federal Express, continuing her commitment to hard work until her retirement.
Peggy found great joy in caring for her yard and flower beds, watching birds, visiting the beach, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Peggy was the youngest child of the late James Allen Parrish and Flara Lee (Jones) Parrish. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Larry Aundre Weatherford, her parents, six brothers, William (Bill) Lewis Parrish, Thurman Allen Parrish, F.M. (Jiggs) Parrish, James Leonard Parrish, Damon Dale Parrish, and Harold Dwane Parrish, all from Artesia, NM and two sisters, Joyce Parrish Box and Joan Parrish Furlow, both from Burnet, TX.
Known for her faith and kindness, Peggy was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and grandmother. To many, she was simply known as a ”special friend.”
Peggy is survived by her son, Gary Aundre Weatherford (Rhonda) of Olive Branch, MS, her daughter, Cheryl Lane Weatherford of Piperton, TN, her granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Weatherford, and her grandson, James Allen Aundre Weatherford, both of Roswell, NM as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, at Collierville Funeral Home. The family will receive relatives and friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
