Raymond Gerard (Jerry) Robinson, of Collierville passed away on January 30, 2020, at the age of 94. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Janella. He is survived by his sons E. Mark Robinson (Diane) of Germantown, Tn and Kenneth J. Robinson (Carmen) of Hattiesburg, Ms. His four grandchildren of whom he treasured and adored, Matthew Robinson “Paw Paw’s Buddy”, “Sweet Caroline“ Robinson Martin (Jay), Christina Robinson and Elena Robinson Rodriguze (Jeff) and two great grandchildren James Micheal Rodriguze and Eloise Rodriguze.
Jerry was born in New Haven, Ct. on October 19, 1925. He received his bachelor’s degree from Strayer College in Washington D. C. in 1949.
He served as a special agent with the FBI in Springfield Il., Knoxville Tn., Chattanooga Tn., Philadelphia Pa., and Washington D. C. He retired from the Mobile, Al. field office after 33 years of service in 1978.
He held many offices with the FBI Retired Agents Society including secretary/treasurer, vice chairman, and chairman of the South Alabama Chapter. He also had been the family assistant representative of the chapter.
After retirement he was employed as chief investigator with Rucker Security from 1979-1986 and with Sloke and Associates from 1981 to 1989.
Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. February 3, 2020 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapel in Germantown, Tn. Visitation in the Chapel at 10 a.m.
