Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army for 20 years and later continued his public service with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Service and duty were central themes throughout his life.
He was a longtime Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed following the team each season and texting his son during games.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Monreal; son, Sean Cox; sister, Joanne Detkowski; daughter-in-law, Janet Cox; son-in-law, Anthony Monreal; and grandchildren, Kerissa Cox, Kiara Monreal, Alexander Cox, and Zachary Cox.
