Shelley Renea Segerson (Legge) Huser, beloved daughter, sister, wife, grandmother, aunt and friend went to meet her Maker on Friday 3, 2023. She was 60 years young. Shelley was born on May 18, 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee to Ernest and and Peggy (Pollock) Segerson. She graduated high school at the Glenmore Academy and later completed medical transcription school. After completing her degree she was employed by doctors, Robert and Gordon Kraus at Kraus Internal Medicine, where she eventually became the office manager. She worked there for almost 15 years. Shelly battled and survived colon cancer for almost 20 years and 5 years ago was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis (an auto-immune disease). This disease attacked and damaged her lungs, and after she had Covid, it futhered damaged her lungs, resulting in her needing oxygen most of the time.
Shelley had many hobbies including photography and embroidery. She was learning to use her embroidery machine when she was becoming sicker, but she was able to make some custom quilts, hats and shirts for her grandchildren and friends. She enjoyed spend time with her family at her lakehouse and taking boat rides on their boat. Shelley was a very outgoing person with a warm smile and she will certainly be missed.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Perry Legge, who was the father of her children, and by her father, Ernest Segerson.
She is survived by her husband, Gerry Huser; daughter, Amanda Legge; sons, Adam Legge (Mary); Alan Legge (Kristin); two granddaughters; seven grandsons; mother, Peggy Segerson; brother, Mark Segerson and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday March 10 from 10-11 a.m. at The Catholic Church of the Incarnation, 360 Bray Street, Collierville, Tennessee. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m.
A visitation for Shelley will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Catholic Church of the Incarnation, 360 Bray Station Road, Collierville, TN 38017, followed by a mass of christian burial from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and a Reception to immediately follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or American Cancer Society.
