

She was born May 02, 1952 in Belmont Mississippi, to Mildred Hester Underwood and James Francis Underwood.
After graduating from Whitehaven High School Class of 1970, she went on to earn her license in Cosmetology that same year. That license would come in handy years later as she built her career in the funeral business.
Sherry's lifelong career began in 1975 at Collierville Funeral Home where she attended families with the burial needs of their loved ones. Even fixing the hair and make-up of the deceased.
Sherry found her calling in this business and let her light shine selling life insurance and pre-need funeral arrangements. She proudly excelled as an insurance underwriter becoming the first female million-dollar salesperson. She moved on to Memorial Park Funeral Home in 1992 as a funeral director.
Preceded in death by her parents Francis and Mildred Underwood; her Son, William James McCallum (Jimmy) in 2005 and her beloved Husband Russell Melvin Wilburn in 2025.
Mrs. Wilburn is survived by her Daughter, Melissa McCallum Scott of Memphis, TN and her Grandchildren Alexis E. Scott and Blake A. Scott both of Memphis, TN.
She will be remembered dearly for her love of life and travel. Most notably her laugh and motto: LET'S GO !!!
