Wilbur Alton Miller

Wilbur Alton Miller, 92, of Collierville, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 in Memphis. Mr. Miller was raised in Covington, TN and was a retired farmer. He was also a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his wife, Rubye Hamner Miller, his parents, Norman Miller and Myrtle Goode Miller, six brothers, Verble, Gib, Ashley, Hulon, Cleo, and Roy Miller, and three sisters, Lorea Wortham, Lois Mills, and Bessie Miller. He is survived by one sister, Joyce Short of Bonita Springs, FL. He is also survived by his daughter, Sandra Jones Lemons, two grandchildren, Anneliese and Jamey Jones, and two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Gillian Reddick. Visitation will be held Monday, September 1, 2014 from 5-7pm at Collierville Funeral Home, 534 W. Poplar Ave. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 11am at the Fisherville Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Fisherville Baptist Church.
