Bill lived a life defined by compassion, dedication, and love for his family and community. As a board-certified internal medicine physician in Trenton, Tennessee he faithfully cared for his patients for 33 years. Medicine was more than a profession to Bill; it was a calling. He took great pride in serving others and was respected for his kindness, wisdom, and gentle bedside manner. Many patients became lifelong friends, and his impact on the community will long be remembered.
Beyond his medical career, Bill found his greatest joy in the simple blessings of life: spending time with family, working in his garden, and enjoying bowling with friends. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose quiet strength, warm heart, and steady presence brought comfort and love to those around him.
Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Loraine DeSouza, with whom he shared 51 cherished years of marriage. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and enduring love.
He leaves behind his loving daughter, Jennifer DeSouza; his son, Cyp DeSouza (Laurie); and his two beautiful granddaughters, McKayla and Mya DeSouza, all of whom were the pride and joy of his life.
Bill’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, former patients, and all who were blessed to know him.
A private family Mass will be held at Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit in Memphis, Tennessee with Father Matt Panackachira officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Jackson, Tennessee.
