Butch coached our son Taylor for Triton Basketball. He taught Taylor many lessons that he will carry with him through his life. How to overcome the impossible, be strong when you dont think you can go any further, to always be your best - no matter what and never give up! Butch was a great coach and a beautiful man. He will be missed. God bless Butch and his entire family. I know he will be with all of us during the next basketball season...in our hearts and spirits. My condolences to the family. Butch and I played baseball together in our teen years and I was fortunate to officiate a couple of his team's basketball games years later. My memories of Butch as a person are fond ones. I will miss him as well.

I am Blessed to have known Butch and even more Blessed to have had him coach my son at Triton.He is one of the most courageous men I have ever known.He would come to practice upbeat and positive, often after his treatments. He "showed " his team how to live and never get down.A true gentleman,always humorous and uplifting, he truly cared about his players and taught them the " Game of Life" through Basketball.Butch, and the lessons he taught me, will always be in my heart. Super character; we had many a good time during the old Woodlynne Raiders games (under whatever names they went), wherein I was the umpire. Wonderful times with a whole crew of great guys! My deepest condolences to the family!

I am very sorry to hear about the passing of an old friend who i knew many years ago, who helped me tremendously when i was in school, he helped me get by some very personal problems and with his guidance, i was able to overcome and be a better person.  All the best to his family and friends .

Mr.Mclean was more like family than anything. I can remember when I was younger and he would arrive next door at the Super's. It became strange to have him as a teacher bc I knew he would report everything to my parents. After I left Woodlynne, he still looked after me and was there especially the day I had to say goodbye to my mom. I am sorry that you suffered but now you can relax and keep watching over us.

A great friend to me from Woodlynne. A great teammate in hockey, basketball, softball, bowling, and life. You will be dearly missed.

My condolences to Butch and his family, friends. Butch McLean touched many lives over his years and left lasting impressions that live with us each and every day. He is gone but not forgotten and never will be.

To Butch's family, I send my thoughts and prayers. I was a classmate of Butch's all through Woodlynne School and Collingswood High School. He was such a fun and upbeat guy. He sure made us laugh, which is a gift to others. He was also a coach, baseball, to my own son, who talks of him with respect and love.
