So many amazing memories I’ve had with Gus over the past 37 years of my life. He has been more than a family friend, he was my uncle. All the quirky jokes, smiles, and fantastic music he brought to this world will be something I will cherish the rest of my days. Uncle Gus, you will be missed immensely and forever. May you rest easy now without pain and watch over us for the rest of our days. I love you.

I will miss all of our fun adventures together . You always make everyone smile and laugh 😂 ❤️ I’ll miss you so much . I remember you playing drums at the carnival and how we’d go out to eat and go to Pa to go on a train ride .

My greatest memory  of  Fuzzy  was when He played the drums  with the Rustics at  St. Joan of Ark  carnival  in Marlton  NJ.   When the days were  7 days.     Monday   Labor  Day,  I would  visit  Fuzzy  and his family.    We would  visit his sister  next door,  ask her to come outside..    Fuzzy  would have his drums and I would  have  my sax and we would  entertain  her . His grandkids would  be over as well. We would  play for few hours. Grand time we all had.     I  will deeply cherish all of the times I shared with my good  friend Fuzzy. I remember  the many times he showed up unannounced and sat in  my driveway and beeped his horn  until I came outside. We went to many parades together and our favorite pizza place Angelo's.  I was very happy to get to see Fuzzy one last time in September. I will miss our phone conversations and all of his jokes. And all of our driving adventures and never even knowing were we would end up.

You were always goofy and such a happy person. You’d always say “if you come with me you’d learn something” and oh boy have I learned a lot . You showed me that life should never be taken too seriously, that you should always make the best of everything you have and enjoy every moment even the smallest ones. You’d stop mid shopping and start dancing in the middle of the store . ♥️ you’d even make strangers laugh and smile in seconds ❤️ your jokes were the best. everyone loved you . You had one of the biggest smiles ! You loved your ice cream as much as I do🍦 and donuts . 🍩 i remember how you’d also fart in public and say “who  was that ? Was that you?” 😂  you also loved to do pranks where you’d put those whoopee cushions down and start laughing before anyone would sit down . I remember always knowing it was there but I’d still sit down anyway and hearing your laugh right after made it all worth it ❤️❤️ you loved to show me how you’d play drums ❤️ you used to always say “Hiya” or “Yoo-hoo” and wave at strangers . You never ever complained about anything actually I used to think you had unlimited money because you’d make sure to always get your family anything they needed . You never talked about finances you some how always made things possible.  You were living proof that people can be so happy without money. I now enjoy just going to the store or just going to sit and watch water all because of you . The smaller things in life really do mean so much more . I feel like I’m the richest person alive because you got to be my pop. I’m so lucky that I got to have you as my pop . I’ll miss riding trains with you , going to church and Walmart . We’ve always went on the best adventures and I promise to always keep you in my heart and memories on every adventure I go on 🌎   I remember how you taught me how to crochet . we started out with making potholders. We’d also do other little projects together as well we’d make things out of cardboard together ❤️❤️

We’ll miss you Fuzzy. You were always a nice sweet person. I’m glad I got to see you recently.  ❤️❤️

Uncle Gus was a drummer.  He would drummer on anything and everything.  Grandmom's pots, the walls, Grandmom.  I remember her yelling at him while trying to hide a smile.  He would just laugh and start drumming on someone or something else.😅. His laughter will be missed.

Uncle Gus was everyone’s favorite Uncle. Always greeting all with a smile and a joke. He was given his nickname name Fuzzy by my Uncle Frank. ( My Dad’s brother) when he was younger because he had fuzzy hair and that name stuck with him for a lifetime! I will deeply miss that smile, kind heart, laugh and Hey little Ronni, “Happy (what ever the day of the week was) to you! “ Uncle Gus made everyone laugh, was an amazing musician and all around good guy. He would give you the shirt off his back! He never missed a family event and was always the life of the party. He passed his love of trains to Tim, and we would often run into him at the local train shows! Rest in peace Uncle Gus. I’m sure there is a big family reunion in Heaven, and of course there is music with the Bel air’s and you on the drums! The band is back together again! ❤️

Condolences to the Fischer Family. Gus was a long time family friend. We were in several organizations together: Army Navy Union Garrison 51 Pennsauken NJ; American Legion Post 84 Oaklyn NJ; Westmont NJ Travel Group; Irish Club, Blackwood NJ. Gus' smile and humor will be missed by many. I was very fortunate to be his friend for many years. Harold Armstrong.

Uncle Gus was everyone’s Uncle.  A sweet, kind and gentle man who always had a smile on his face and was loved by everyone.  When I would see him, he would always say, “Cookie, I remember when you were this cute little guy running  around the streets in the Hts.”  And I would always tease him and say, “yea, and you would change my diapers.”  Which he never did, but it was an ongoing joke we shared.   I’m blessed to have known him for so many years, and he will never be forgotten.

Dear Joe Tortoreto & siblings,   I’m sorry to hear the loss of 
Uncle Gus.  Growing up our entire lives knowing him. 
Uncle Gus embraced us as we were his family.  He was always
smiling and ready to tell 1 of his jokes. I think his favorite joke 
was his Eileen 1. In honor of his neice Eileen. LOL.  He was a very kind
and gentle soul. Never to busy to stop and talk. Last time I
saw and spoke with him he was scooting around in the Acme
grocery shopping.  Thank you for all the great memories growing 
up Uncle Gus.  RIP Beautiful man 🤍
