
She was born in Camden, grew up in Gloucester City, and was a 1957 graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School. Celeste worked as a typist for the Defense Logistics Agency in South Philadelphia where she met her future husband and later was employed by D'Orazio Foods in Bellmawr for two decades.
Celeste was predeceased by her parents Albert and Alice Gottsch (nee Prescott), siblings Jean, Jacquelyn, Albert, and Mark, and her beloved husband, Melvyn. Celeste is survived by her loving daughters Marlene (Bill) Marsden, Alice (Rick) Reese, and Catherine (the late George) Rockstein, cherished grandchildren Megan (Ryan), Michelle (Greg), Billy, and Jesse, adored great-grandchildren Bradley, Bennett, and Blake. Celeste held dear her many nephews and nieces including Chris (Diana) Rogers and Albert (Maryann) Gottsch, and many grand and great-grand nephews and nieces. Her fur babies, kitties Ernest and Scooter meant the world to her along with her fur grandbabies, doggies Stella, Savannah, Kacey, David Rose, and Daisy.
Mom delighted in watching classic movies and old television shows, was an avid Sixers and Phillies fan, enjoyed dining out, loved spending time with her family, was always present and supportive and never missed sending a card out on time to loved ones for holidays and special occasions.
At the family's request, services will be held privately.
