We are so sorry to hear about Dennis. Truly gone too soon. As family of family, we knew Dennis for many years.  Our favorite memory is of him bringing morning coffee to everyone, and sitting on the front deck at the house in Ortley Beach.

I worked with Dennis in the early 1980’s (Westmont Acme) and the thought of those days always brings a big smile. Lots of work, but lots of good times too. We both knew how to laugh, and goof a bit…. (Maybe more than just a bit!) but still manage to get the work done! We both went our separate ways within the company but always managed to run into one of other. Throughout the years I’d run into Dennis in Colls, and was always sure to be met with big smiles  and really hearty laughs…something  I always looked forward to. He will be greatly missed. Please take care.

Den was one of the very first neighbors I met on Linwood Avenue. He was often out on his porch, and we struck up a conversation that turned into many more over the years. Dan and I had just moved to the neighborhood from Philadelphia, and Den immediately started sharing stories—especially about his time working at the Acme during Rendell's administration.
I told him we planned to stay in Collingswood for about five years. Den just smiled and told me we were going to love it here and that he’d be surprised if we ever left. More than 20 years later, we’re still on Linwood Avenue. Den was right.

Den looked out for my sons as they grew up. He gave them little jobs starting around age ten—raking leaves, then mulching, then shoveling snow. He was also our emergency contact. The boys knew that if they couldn’t reach me or Dan, they could always call Den. And he always reminded Ben and Nate that if they were ever in a situation where they didn’t want to call us first, he’d be there to help or give them a ride.
He helped organize so many neighborhood block parties over the years, and his baked chicken was always a hit with the kids. His front yard became a gathering place—a spot to talk, laugh, and catch up. 
Rest in peace, Den. You will truly be missed.

I worked with Dennis at Acme for some time. He was a real people person and was very knowledgeable of the grocery industry. Always the conversationalist, Dennis always had a story to tell! He was a good man to work with and Acme lost a great manager after he left the company. May he rest in peace.🙏

Dennis was our next door neighbor for over 30 years. After retiring Dennis was always cheerful and full of conversation on the front porch. My fondest memory was during the Covid shut down. To have something to do I started playing my trumpet every night at sundown. My husband Mike helped pick the songs and set up every night. Dennis expected my song and took a seat in the front right exclusive box. Margaret  requested the Marines  Hymn to honor her brother. With the shut down and nothing to do people started to gather at sun down to hear my uplifting trumpet songs.  Dennis thought it note worthy and called Action News. They came with cameras and recorded. I did my best rendition of Rocky for the occasion. We were interviewed and appeared on Action News  as the “sundown trumpeter”. Dennis made the whole thing happen and got a real charge out of the news story.❤️🎺 we miss you Dennis hope to see you on the other side.

We are so saddened by Dennis' passing away.  Both Dan and I loved to kid him about baseball and football, especially those Eagles.  He was a warm and wonderful person who cared deeply for both of you and for others.  I never heard him say a bad thing about anyone.  He will be sorely missed but I am sure he is in heaven looking down on us now and saying he will keep an eye on both of you.
