The National Assoc of Retired Postal Inspectors extends its deepest sympathy to you and family at this most difficult of times.
Gerry was still a member of NARPI through 2109. I personally knew Gerry as he would attend our local luncheons in Philadelphia on a regular basis. He was a kind and gentle man and funny too!.
He was a true example of a "Postal Inspector", kind, humble, stern if ineed be and a true professional. Honesty and integrity were part of his being and it is God's gain and our loss. God bless you and may he Rest in Peace,. Amen

My condolences to the family. Having lost my own father about this time last year, it is fresh in my mind. I wish the family strength in getting through this holiday season, and in adjusting to Mr. Siefring's passing.

I just read about your dad's passing. He was one of the kindest, funniest, thoughtful men I have ever met in this lifetime. I knew him from his visits to his sister. The girls would tease me because I so enjoyed his stories and his laughter. You were very blessed to have had him and vice versa. He loved his wife, enjoyed his life and had so many great stories about the war, his family and the boys. He was definitely the highlight of my working at "the home". God bless him and his family. I just remembered a story he told me about his baby sister who passed away that he got the grave for - I see him holding her hand. He is definitely up there dancing with his wife.

My dad, Joe Bovino Sr., asked me to share these thoughts with you:

“Gerry married my sister, Rose, and I have always had a soft spot in my heart for him.

I found Gerry to be a caring, loving husband. He was a role model for me.

I know he is now in heaven with Rose.

The two of them produced a wonderful family that I am proud to be a part of.

I did not know about Gerry’s passing until yesterday, when my son Joseph told me.

My condolences to all the family. He was a great guy.
