Janis Martin-Hughes

Janis was educated in the Collingswood School District until she graduated from High School in 1976 and later earned a Master’s Degree in Business from the University of Pennsylvania. Janis was an accomplished businesswoman who built her own public relations firm. Janis was the founder and president of JMH Public Relations and, in addition to her firm, she spent several years working for XPN.

Janis fell in love with the city of San Miguel de Allende. She had purchased a home there, and spending time in Mexico was her favorite. In addition to being an accomplished business woman, Janis was an outstanding cook and the most amazing host. Janis was a cat Mom to Miguel, Diego, Luna and Rah Roo and her love for her cats was unmatched.

Janis is survived her devoted husband of 36 years, Robert Stallings, her sister and brother-in- law Steve and Joan Buccilli, her 3 nieces; Jillian, Christa, Alice and their husbands and children. Janis was especially close with Jillian, Tim, and their 3 sons, Timothy, Stevie Ray and Nick. They enjoyed preparing meals, creating jello art and spending holidays together. In addition to her close family members Janis is survived by a host of amazing friends who loved her dearly.
