Judith was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her beloved son, Jeffrey (Elissa) Smith, and her cherished granddaughters, Kathleen and Molly, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Smith, her sister Shirley Schwartz (née Steinman), and her brother Neil Steinman.
Judith dedicated over 25 years of her professional life as an administrator at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where she was admired for her dedication, compassion, and unwavering work ethic. Outside of her career, she was a passionate member of the Master Gardeners of Camden County, where she shared her love of plants and especially pansies, her favorite flower.
A woman of many interests and endless energy, Judith found joy in ballroom dancing at the Candlelight Ballroom, exploring new places through travel, going on adventurous outings, and even taking to the skies in hot air balloons. She remained active throughout her life, often seen smiling and moving to the rhythm in her Zumba classes.
Judith will be remembered for her zest for life, kind heart, and adventurous spirit. Her warmth, laughter, and stories will live on in those who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to Crescent Memorial Park Cemetery in Pennsauken on Thursday, September 25th at 11 AM for a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judith’s memory to a local horticultural society or community garden of your choice.
