Born in Philadelphia to Florence Glynos and Richard Snyder, she was named after her father’s sister. She attended St. Hubert Catholic High School and, many years later, shared her love of children as a teacher at the JCC Katz Community Center in Voorhees, NJ.
Margie was vivacious and full of laughter, with a great sense of humor that could light up any room. She cherished her nieces and nephews, adored her little chihuahua Toto, and loved fashion, makeup, and making her apartment beautiful. She was married briefly in 1969. She was often generous to a fault and loved her friends, especially Vera Darpino-Dominiak and Dennis Sansoni. She remembered everyone’s birthday, and you could count on a birthday greeting and song. She was a terrific cook and liked to invite others over for dinner. She loved her reality shows, mentioning characters as if she knew them personally.
Margie’s memory and goodness will carry on through her siblings, Jane Cicalese (Donald, Eileen Snyder (Pablo), and John Glynos (Nicole), nieces Stephanie Fleckenstein, Dawn Binczak, Jill Fleckenstein, and Julie Patrizi-Kulb, great-nieces Nicole Watson, Emma Jane Hough, and great-nephews Matthew Watson, Jonah, Christopher, and Owen Kulb and great-great-nieces Natalia and Allee Squillace.
Margie’s warmth, humor, and joyful spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. She will be missed and remembered as someone who enjoyed life and lived it on her own terms. Marge was always a Mommie’s girl, and we like to imagine she is with our mother, Floss, fixing her hair in the mirror and talking about what’s to come.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at St Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, 809 Park Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM.
"Passing the stages of life, death comes,
Not as an end, but a new beginning,
And the soul continues, flowing outward, ever outward."
Walt Whitman
Ah, now I don't hardly know her
But I think I could love her
Crimson and clover.
Ah, when she comes walking over
Now I've been waitin to show her
Crimson and clover over and over
Yeah, my, my such a sweet thing
I wanna do everything
What a beautiful feeling
Crimson and clover over and over.
(Tommy James, Peter Lucia, 1968)
