Marie Tonyes

Marie Tonyes (nee Tratta) of Collingswood passed away at the age of 89 peacefully in her home on April 18, 2023.

Beloved by all her family and friends, she will be dearly missed.

Marie was an award-winning field hockey player in her high school years. As a young adult, Marie became an accomplished ballroom dancer and continued to build a career as a highly successful businesswoman in the industry. Her love for ballroom dancing was only second to that of her family. Family was always most important to Marie. She also cherished time spent down the shore at her home in Stone Harbor and on the beach with family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing and are encouraged to bring mementos that represent how Marie touched your life, on Friday April 28, 2023, from 9:00 am – 10:30 am at Blake-Doyle Funeral Home, 226 Collings Avenue, Collingswood, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday April 28, 11:30 am at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, 809 Park Avenue, Collingswood, NJ, 08108. Interment to follow in Calvary Chapel Mausoleum, 2398 West Marlton Pike, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.

There will be a luncheon for family and friends directly following the Interment at Carrabba's Italian Grill, 500 East Rt 38, Maple Shade, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marie’s name to St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, 809 Park Avenue, Collingswood, NJ.
