Martha Tenuto (nee Allegrini) age 86 of Collingwood passed peacefully on Monday June 4.
Beloved wife of predeceased Joseph T. Tenuto for 56 yrs. Devoted mother of Francis J. (Lorraine) Tenuto of Oaklyn, Joseph A. Tenuto of Philadelphia, PA, Mark A. (Linda) Tenuto of Tabernacle, Rosemary (Tom) Orio of Haddon Twp., Diane (Jerry) Howard of Cherry Hill and Steven (Robin) Tenuto of Mt. Ephraim. Loving grandmother of 8 and great grandmother of 6.
Martha was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, painting furniture, the casinos, her cats and was a political junky. Martha liked to entertain, seafood was her favorite. She was there for everyone. A strong, personable, loving mother, family was extremely important to her. She treasured the family gatherings and was always available to babysit for all of the grandchildren. She will truly be missed by many.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Thursday, June 7, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at BLAKE-DOYLE Funeral Home, 226 W Collings Ave, Collingswood, NJ 08108. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday June 8, 10:30 am at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, St. John Church, 809 Park Ave., Collingswood, NJ 08108. I didn't know Mrs. Tenuto personally but I taught two of her children in the ninth grade. I remember them as polite and friendly, they were a pleasure to teach. Diane and Steve, I'm sorry for your loss. My prayers for your family.
