Mary Grady Crake

She was born on December 9th, 1931, in Philadelphia, to the late Joseph Patrick and Rose Marie (Crosson) Kearney.

Mary was the beloved wife of Joseph Edmund Grady, who preceded her in death. Together, they raised five wonderful children, who were the light of her life. After years of being widowed she met and married Michael George Crake, Jr. who also predeceased her.

In addition to her devotion to her family, Mary was deeply committed to her faith. For many years, she volunteered tirelessly with her church, St. Timothy Catholic Church in Lutz, where she found joy in serving others and making a difference in the lives of those around her. She enjoyed visiting with, and bringing communion to, those who were ill or homebound. Her faith guided her in everything she did. Mary's passing is a profound loss to her family, friends, and community.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, both husbands, her beautiful daughter Kathleen “Babe” O’Shaughnessy, her granddaughter, Jessie Grady Snyder, a brother Joe Kearney, Jr., sisters Rosemarie “Chick” McGinty and Kathleen Poulliott.

She is survived by four children; Tim Grady (Carol), Mary Myers (Russ), Susan Cashman, Dan Grady (Alesia), stepson Rick Crake (Amy), and son-in-law Robert O’Shaughnessy; 12 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren, and her sister Margaret “Peg” Plush. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched and the enduring love she shared.

A Mass to honor Mary’s life will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 17512 Lakeshore Road, Lutz, FL 33558 on May 2, 2025 at 11am.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Mary at Blake-Doyle Funeral Home, 226 Collings Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108, from 10 - 12 pm on May 9, 2025.

Internment will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery, in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Rest in peace, Mary. Your love, kindness, and dedication will forever be remembered. You have left an indelible mark on our hearts, and we are grateful for the time we shared with you.
