She was born on July 27, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA to Michael and Mildred (Innezelli) Sweeney. She graduated from Maria Goretti Catholic High School.
Mary met Joseph L. Talucci in 1958 and they were married on January 30, 1960 at St Edmond’s Church in Philadelphia, PA. They moved to Haddon Township, NJ in 1969 where they raised their family.
Predeceased by her parents and her brother, Joseph Sweeney, she is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Joseph L. Talucci; her sister, Mildred Rufino; her sons, Lawrence Talucci (Barbara) and Joseph Talucci (Bonnie) and his partner, Melanie Smith and her daughter, Tara Settimio (Robert); her five grandchildren, Nicolette Boyle (Edward), Christopher Talucci (Carrie), Joseph Talucci, Kamiryn Smith and Gianna Talucci (Keith Hall); and her six great-grandchildren, Bailey, Alexandra, Charlotte, Nora, Lucas and Isla.
Mary was an active member of St Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Fairview, NJ. She also served on the Haddon Township Housing Committee and Zoning Office, served as a Notary Public and volunteered at voting polls.
She loved the moments that brought the people she loved together. Family gatherings were her true obsession, whether hosting Sunday pasta dinners for family and friends or baking favorites like pizzagaina and pizzelles.
Mary loved spending time at the shore and especially traveling to Italy. She never left her husband’s side and they did everything together. Her legacy of love, tradition, and devotion will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Prayer Service at 11:00 AM at Blake-Doyle Funeral Home, 226 W Collings Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108.
Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Bailey Road, Yeadon, PA 19050.
