Paul Joseph Zullo

Paul Zullo, 66, of Collingswood, NJ, passed away on August 20, 2026 after a private battle with cancer. Though his illness was brief, Paul faced it in the way he approached much of his life—on his own terms.

Born on April 16, 1960 in Trenton, NJ, Paul was the son of Rose Zullo (Scandura) and Joseph Zullo. He grew up alongside John Zullo and Salvatore Zullo and carried his family, his upbringing, and especially his Italian heritage with him throughout his life.

Paul was a man who was difficult to sum up in just a few words. He was private, particular, passionate, funny, and unmistakably himself. He knew what he liked, knew how he wanted things done, and wasn't afraid to let you know it. Those who knew him well understood that beneath it all was a man who cared deeply about his family and the things that mattered to him.

One of Paul's greatest passions was food. He took pride in being Italian, and his cooking became one of the ways he shared his love with his family. He set the bar high in the kitchen, and those lucky enough to grow up eating his food were thoroughly spoiled by it. More importantly, Paul took the time to teach his daughter, Olivia, how to make his staple dishes, ensuring that the recipes, traditions, and memories attached to them will continue for generations.

Paul is survived by his daughter Olivia (Michael) Lorenzo, his niece Carolyn Zullo, his nephew Joseph (Christine Glielmi) Zullo Sr. and his children Joseph Zullo Jr. and Maya Zullo.

He was preceded in death by Joseph Zullo, Rose Zullo, John Zullo and Salvatore Zullo.

Paul leaves behind more than dates and accomplishments. He leaves behind recipes that will continue to be cooked, stories that will continue to be told, traditions that will continue to be practiced, and a family that will continue to laugh about the things that could only ever be described as "Paul."

His family will grieve the future they thought they would have with him, but they will also celebrate the life he did have and everything from that life that remains with them.

Paul's memory will live on in his family, his food, his traditions the laughter he created, and every story that begins with, "Remember when Paul..."

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, September 1st at 12 PM followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 1 PM at Blake-Doyle Funeral Home in Collingswood, NJ.
