Born on March 3, 1966, Scott was born in Glasgow, Scotland to Sheila and Ronald Kerr. The family emigrated to the United States when he was a toddler, settling in Plattsburgh, New York. He attended Plattsburgh State College and later his career led him to Southern NJ, where he would meet his future wife, Susan.
Scott was the kind of person who made life feel lighter. He had a warm laugh, a thoughtful way of listening, and an ability to make others feel understood. Friends and family knew him as someone who showed up — not with fanfare, but with sincerity, generosity, and a heart that never wavered. Throughout his career in management at Macy’s, Strawbridge’s and Target, he was a beloved boss whose employees loved to work for and be around him.
He loved soccer and hockey and all of the Philly sports teams.
He cherished the relationships in his life, and those who knew him will carry forward the memories of shared conversations, small moments of humor, and the comfort of his steady companionship.
