Born in Northampton, Massachusetts, Shelia lived a life defined by compassion, service, and deep devotion to her family and faith.
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Shelia found joy in every role she held. She delighted in reading, gardening, cooking, and traveling, and she cherished time spent with her family and friends. Her love for learning and history was matched only by her active involvement in her church and community.
Shelia generously gave of her time and talents through membership in the Red Hat Society, Catholic Daughters, Credo, Cursillo, and Marriage Encounter, and as a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Her professional life reflected this same spirit of service. A Licensed Practical Nurse by training, Shelia’s dedication to helping others carried through her work with the Naval Sea Cadet monthly training program, St. Joseph’s Carpenter Society, and later as Executive Director of Housing and Economic Opportunities, where she helped low-income families achieve homeownership through education and grant programs.
Predeceased by her husband, Deacon William C. Robinson and her grandson, Timothy Bridgeman. Shelia’s legacy of love and dedication continues through her family: her daughters Christine (Anthony) Scarpa, Deborah (Richard) Anderson, and Sandy (Peter) Baczewski; her grandchildren, Robert (Ann) Bridgeman, Michael and Kristofer Scarpa, Richard (Jennifer) Lynch and Alyssa Anderson, Nicholas, Colin, and Devin Hughes, and Sonya and Rebecca Whitman; Granddaughter in-law, Lisa Bridgeman and her great-grandchildren Corey Bridgeman, Weston Summerfield, Madison Scarpa, Richard Lynch Jr., and Haven Anderson.
Her family and all who knew her will remember Shelia for her kindness, faith, and tireless commitment to others. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and generosity that will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her.
