Shirley Mae Quinton (nee Laxton), on May 30, 2015, surrounded by the love & support of her family. Shirley was born October 14, 1922 at home in Camden, NJ to the late Mary E. (nee Sheean) and J. Frederick Laxton. Beloved wife of the late Henry Quinton, Jr. and the late William A. Reese. Devoted mother of Nancy Reese of Pennsauken, Wendy (Thomas) McMenamin of Pennsauken & William F. (Colleen) Reese of Gloucester Twp. Loving grandmother of William, Daniel, Jonathan and the late James Reese; sister of Audrey E. Taylor (late Ernest) of Bellmawr and her late brothers J. Frederick (late Mary), Harry S. (Adela) & Kenneth C. (late Ellen) Laxton Shirley is survived by her many nieces and nephews.

A 1941 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, she was raised in Camden and spent many happy summers at her grandmother’s home in Westmont. She loved dancing, ice skating, swimming, the outdoors, history, Shelly’s poetry and Tchaikovsky’s music. Gracious, compassionate and kind, Shirley strived to pass that on to her children. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Shirley resided in Pennsauken for 60 years, where she raised her family.

Viewing Thursday 7-9 PM in BLAKE-DOYLE FUNERAL HOME , 226 Collings Ave., Collingswood. Funeral Friday 11 AM in the Funeral Home. Funeral Services NOON, Rev. Emanuel DelValle presiding. Burial beside her beloved husband in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
