Timothy William Bridgeman, 35 of Lawnside, NJ passed away January 16, 2022. Born in Camden, NJ. He attended and graduated from St Cecilia’s elementary school in Pennsauken NJ, Camden Catholic High School Class of 2004 in Cherry Hill, NJ and the Connecticut School of Broadcasting LLC, Class of 2005 in Cherry Hill, NJ. He was a lifelong avid fan of WWE, cosplay, standup comedy, cooking, video games, and music production. He was a founding member of the podcast; “We are the Nerds of all Trades” and a former member of the band “Vicious Alliance”.
Timothy held multiple customer service jobs including Target, Perkins, Ponzio’s, GameStop and Coface North America Insurance Company before joining the Navy in 2010 where he was trained as a Master at Arms and attained the rank of Petty Officer Third Class.
Timothy’s assignments included Coronado, San Diego; Greece and Portsmouth, New Hampshire. While in the military, he received many awards and acknowledgments. He consistently performed his demanding duties in an exemplary and highly professional manner while displaying superb leadership with an attention to detail. He was also commended for his additional hours of performed Critical Antiterrorism/Force Protection. His most notable commendation was from the Commander of Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, William C. Green, who commended Timothy for the Superior Performance of his duties while serving as the outer perimeter security detail for the Vice President of the United States in September of 2014. He demonstrated a high degree of integrity and drive by being hand selected for an impromptu visit by the Vice President of the United States, Joseph Biden. He was instrumental in plans and procedures that required numerous hours of preparations and execution outside the normal scope of his duties. It was his dedication and attention to detail that made it a flawless visit to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard being specifically noted by the United States Secret Service as one of the easiest visits they have encountered. Petty Officer Third Class Bridgeman’s professionalism and devotion to duty reflected credit upon himself and were in keeping in the highest traditions of the United States Navel Service.
After serving in the Navy, Timothy returned to the private workforce. He held various positions at The Breadboard, Peace Love and Pickles and most recently as Manager at Royal Farms. He brought the same professionalism and passion he had in the Navy to each of these positions. He dedicated himself to whatever task was at hand while striving to make the job and people around him better.
Timothy was the cherished father to Cora Bridgeman (Lisa). Beloved son of Christine Scarpa (Anthony) and the late Shawn Bridgeman. Brother to Robert Bridgeman (Ann) and stepbrother to Michael Scarpa (Ashley) and Kristopher (Nicole).
Timothy is survived by his grandmother Shelia Robinson and the late Deacon William Robinson; his grandmother Virginia Taylor Aull , the late Leo Bridgeman; and by his treasured fiancé Amanda Powell.
Timothy is also survived by his Aunts, Deborah Anderson (Richard), Amanda McAlpin (Paul), Stacy DeMarco (Joey), LeAnn Bridgeman, Patricia Bridgeman Horner (Jeff) , Honorary Aunt; Sandy Baczewski (Peter) and Uncle Leo J. Bridgeman; and niece Madison Scarpa along with many cousins and extended family members.
The following quote from Tim himself, sums up the way he lived his life and how he hoped each of us would as well; “ We all know I ultimately want to make things better for the people around me. Because I never feel as good as I do when I laugh or to make a meal for someone and just see their face go from “What is this?” to “Oh my this is incredible”. Get out there and laugh and challenge yourself to make something new for someone you care about”.
