Valarie Y. Ellerbe

Valarie will be remembered as a woman of strong faith who was selfless in giving to others. Her mantra in life was "Let Go and Let God."

Valarie is survived by her daughter, Taneshia Ellerbe; her son, Michael Ellerbe; her grandson, Ezekiel Preston; her brothers, Alvin Jones and children and Anthony Jones; her sisters, Pat, Roshaunda Smelser and children, Stacey Johnson and children, Paulette Garner (Calvin Garner) and Linda Stevenson; sisters-in-law, Stacy Ellerbe, Mary V. Jones and Susan Jones; brothers-in-law, Brandon Albright and Rennie Harris; aunt, Betty Jean Mackey; uncle, Arthur and Thelma Leonard.

Also survived by nieces, Nina Jones, Lori Jones, Laura Jones, Lisa M. Jones, Angela K. Jones, Earlissa Darling, Kelis Jones, Tatiana Jones, Tia Stevenson and children and Yvonne Rodriguez and children; nephews, Pastor Troy, Michael Davis, Anthony Jerome Jones, Jr., Ryan Stevenson and children, Cornelius Stacy, Dante Washington, Don Washington and Walter Lindsey. Cousins Al Robertson, Mona and children, Marily Harrell, Hubert Newton, Hilton Newton, Warrick and Edith Roundtree.

Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Victory in Christ Christian Center, 1055 Delsea Drive, Westville, NJ 08093.

Cremation was held privately.
