Alexis "Lexi" Taylor Budzon

Alexis (Lexi) Taylor Budzon was born on January 27th 1997 in Colorado Springs, CO. Her smile and laughter were both radiant and contagious, which lit up the world around her. She attended Scott Elementary, Jenkins Middle School and graduated from Doherty High School, where she excelled academically as well as athletically. She participated in gymnastics, dance, basketball, soccer, track, and her favorite by far was softball. Her teammates called her DP for double play and “squirt” for her size. She was fast and had the most beautiful swing. She loved her family and friends immensely, and she expected something fun to be planned every Sunday after church.

Lexi attended UCCS and continued her education at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and was awarded her degree RN/BSN on December 13th this year. She would have been a wonderful nurse because she was compassionate as well as empathetic. Her dream was ultimately to become a pediatric oncology nurse and spend her life with Ryan. Alexis will be especially missed by her friends and family along with everybody she interacted with. Although she is not physically with us you can look to Heaven and she will comfort all of us with that infectious smile and laughter.
