Almette “Lee” Baldwin was born on November 30, 1915 in Jet, Oklahoma to John & Bessie (Brown) Oakley. Lee married the love of her life Karl T. Baldwin on June 4, 1939. They were residents of Colorado Springs from 1960 until 2010. Lee worked in Retail Sales at Mar Ru Dress Shop.
Lee is preceded in death by her husband, Karl T. Baldwin; brothers George and Johnny Oakley and her daughter, Anita McKenzie.
Lee is survived by son, Gary (Maxine) Baldwin; daughter, Jonnie Sue (Tom) Dunn; and sisters, Betty Lou Snook and Gwen (Albert) Long as well as nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Lee will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 from 11am – 2pm with the Funeral Service following at 2pm. Both will be held at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. The interment will follow the Funeral Service at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
