Ann Ivers Taylor, born on November 6, 1952, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to Walter D. Stancliffe and Carrie Frances (Crook) Stancliffe, passed away on August 9, 2026, in Norman, Oklahoma. Ann married her beloved husband, Dewayne Taylor, on June 8, 1974, and they spent 52 wonderful years together. Ann graduated from the University of Colorado in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Education.
As a proud military spouse, Ann spent time abroad and across the United States before returning to Norman, OK -- her high school home town, and where she and Dewayne were married. Ann found great joy in working out, reading, and joining her church congregation in singing hymns during services. A devoted follower of Christ, Ann was equally exceptional in her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She raised and delighted in the accomplishments of her two children -- and invested in hundreds of others by teaching in churches and elementary schools across the nation, including most recently as the principal for the North Campus of the Academy Classical Christian studies school. Ann's love for life, friends, and family were immediately apparent to all fortunate enough to know her -- and she was deeply loved in return (particularly by Gus, the world's luckiest Golden Retriever.)
