Mrs. Annemarie Garza passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 at Penrose Hospital. She was 88 years old.
Annemarie was born in Nurnberg, Germany on April 14, 1926. Annemarie worked for the Administrative Unit, HQ 12th Air Force, US Air Forces in Europe where she met and married Agapito Garza who preceded her in death in 1982. Annemarie and Agapito moved to Widefield in 1973. Annemarie was a Master Gardener and was very active in the Horticulture Art Society and she volunteered as a Docent at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the Butterfly Pavilion in Denver, Colorado.
Annemarie is survived by many loving family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10:00am at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel, 3825 Airport Road with the Burial to follow.
