Anthony R. Pomonis, age 35, passed away in the morning hours of Friday, March 26th. Tony is the beloved son of Anthony J. Pomonis and Cheryl (David) LaVeille, Brother of Sara (Brendan) Galvin, Step-brother of Heather LaVeille and cherished friend of many. He is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents Ronald and Loretta Medel, and his Paternal Grandparents Anthony and Rosemary Pomonis. Tony lived life to the fullest, spending his free time hiking and absorbing the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. He was a lover of poetry and music and was a talented writer. He found a makeshift brother in his cousin Matthew Medel and a makeshift family in his friends in Colorado, his true home. He will be missed.
A viewing will be open to friends and family on Thursday, April 1st from 10am-12pm at Swan-Law Funeral Directors located at 501 N Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
All are welcome in joining us as we lay Tony to rest by scattering his ashes in the mountains on Easter Sunday, April 4th at 9 am. Location is forthcoming.
In lieu of Flowers the family is asking for donations to P.A.W.S of Tinley Park, IL., where Tony's beloved canine brother Willie was rescued from.
