Obituary of Arta Loretta Schierling
IN THE CARE OF

Mountain View Funeral & Cremation

Arta Loretta Maas Schierling passed from this life April 3, 2023. Arta was uniquely beautiful and deeply loved by her family and friends for so many reasons. She is remembered for her desire to care for others, an appreciation for the simple things in life, a sharp mind, and gentle nature and her love of Jesus.

Arta was born May 4, 1936 in Oklahoma to Klaas and Adelia Maas. She grew up in Wichita where she made many life-long friends and was dedicated to family. She was hardworking from an early age, keeping good grades, studying, and playing sports. Arta also had an adventurous side, loving to travel. Arta met her husband, Roger Schierling, at a church dance and the two married in August of 1962. They would have two daughters, Michele and Pamela. After several moves around the country, they made a permanent home in Denver, CO in 1980. Arta found vocational purpose being gifted with numbers as a bookkeeper. She was also an avid volunteer at church, in her community, with the HOA and at her daughters' schools. Arta was a truly generous and devoted person to everyone in her life and shared God’s love in her own peaceful way. She is thoroughly missed and forever in the hearts of her daughters Michele Sain and Pamela Iverson, her grandchildren Ryan, Mallory, Talena, Brittany and their families that include Arta's 7 great-grandchildren; her sisters, and many much-loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Those whom Arta joined in heaven include her granddaughter Lauren, her husband Roger, her sisters and brothers, her parents and many close friends.
