Arthur Mack Smith

Arthur Mack Smith passed away October 2, 2025, in Colorado Springs, Colorado peacefully in his home surrounded by family. He was born August 21, 1940, in Blue Mound, Illinois to his parents, Alberta Smith (Workman) and Arthur Leon Smith.

He then married Nancy Pierce on January 3, 1980, in Decatur, Illinois, and they made their life there. Arthur worked as a manager for the Mueller company from which he retired in 1999. He also sang in the Travailers quartet and was a member of the Central Church of the Nazarene.

This then began Arthur’s truest life – retirement in Hawaii.

Arthur is survived by his daughter Candice Wagoner and son Kevin Smith, stepson Randy Walters, granddaughter Michelle Clark, great-granddaughter Scarlet Badillo, his brother Larry Eugene Smith, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Denny Smith, Shirley Smith, Gary Smith, and Greg Smith, as well as his wives, Nancy Smith (Peirce) and Beverly Bryant (Atwell), and his stepson Rob Walters.

A Memorial Service will be held October 15, 2025 from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.

Chaplain Mike Kirk (Gentiva Hospice) will be officiating, and Arthur's children, Kevin and Candy are thankful to the Gentiva Hospice Colorado Springs Hospice team in the aid of caring for their father.
