On September 18, 2026 God welcomed Barbara Esther Mann with open arms. Barbara was born in Wisconsin on August 2, 1941 to Clarence and Florence ( Schultz) Kasten. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She leaves behind 4 of her children. Christopher, Craig (Jen), Beth and Katharine (Eliah). She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was so proud of all her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchild.
Barbara was raised in Wisconsin with her 3 sisters. She met and married the love of her life, Charles C. Mann. They were married for 52 years. In 1981 they moved to Colorado Springs with their 5 children. Barbara served as a nurse for 50 years. She enjoyed needle work and reading. She is proceeded. in death by her parents, her sister Marion Bode, her husband Charles C. Mann, and her son Scott A. Mann.
Family was at the heart of Barbara’s life. Some of the most treasured memories were made around the dinner table during Sunday dinners, when family gathered together to share a meal, laughter, stories, and time with one another. Those Sundays were more than just meals—they were a cherished tradition and a reminder of the love that held the family together.
The family will have an open gathering on October 8th, 2026 from 2:00 -3:00 pm. It will be held at Swan Law Funeral Home located at 501 N. Cascade Ave Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Everyone is welcome to come and pay their respects.
