Barbara J Muzzy

Barbara Jane (Kuipers) Muzzy, beloved wife, mother, sister, and daughter was embraced in the arms of Jesus on December 11, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Barb was born to parents John and Phyllis Kuipers in Mitchell, South Dakota on August 13, 1956.

After graduating from Cheyenne Mountain High School in 1974, Barb attended Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado.

Barb had a long and outstanding career in the hotel industry—both in Denver and in Colorado Springs. Most recently, she was sales manager for the Antlers Hilton in Colorado Springs.

Family was of greatest importance to Barb. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and snowmobiling in the mountains with her immediate family as well as frequent gatherings with extended family and friends.

Barb will be deeply missed by her husband Tom, daughter Nicole, sons Jacob and Joshua, sister Cindy (Kuipers) Smith, and mother, Phyllis Kuipers. She was preceded in death by her father, John Kuipers. Her absence will also be strongly felt by her extended family, friends, and coworkers.

A memorial service and reception is being held at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.
