Ben married Rosie Mae Traylor on June 25, 1951 and recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. He is survived by loving wife Rosie; Daugthers: Doris, Shirley (Raymond) Penn and Sharon; Sons, Larry and Lawrence; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Ben retired from Rio Grand Railroad after 32 years as a customer service clerk.
Ben was an active member of Lakeside Church of Christ since 1960.
Ben enjoyed leading songs at church and participating in other church activities, along with spending time with his family.
Ben was a loving, faithful, generous and caring soul who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held at Lakeside Church of Christ at 603 S. Hancock Ave on Monday July 23, 2012 at 10:00 am.
