

Blair was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 6, 1953 to Clyde and Neva Mitchell. He attended Brighton High School, where he met his future bride, Karin Anderson. Blair and Karin were happily married for 49 years and together they raised 2 children, their son Aaron and daughter Amanda.
Blair enjoyed a 42-year career in dental technology, working as a dental technician for National Dentex Corporation most of his career. He worked in dental laboratories in Utah, Arizona, Washington, and lastly New Hampshire where he and Karin raised their family and lived for 35 years. In 2020, they retired to Colorado Springs where Blair resided until his death.
Growing up, Blair enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with his family in Utah and Montana. As a young adult, he worked as a camp counselor for the YMCA. Over the years, Blair enjoyed many camping and fishing trips with family and friends in the White Mountains and the lakes of New Hampshire, as well as whale watching trips in New England. He and Karin loved spending time in Maine, especially on the beautiful beaches there. He and Karin also enjoyed travels to Mexico, Greece and France. Blair was a gifted handyman and could fix just about anything. He loved working with his hands and learned how to make Shaker oval boxes at Shaker Village in Canterbury, New Hampshire. Blair treasured the times he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren who lovingly knew him as “Pa.” Blair was an active member of the Lutheran church. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Blair is preceded in death by his father Clyde Mitchell, his mother Neva Mitchell, his brother Kim Mitchell, and his brother Gordon Mitchell.
Blair is survived by his loving wife Karin; his children Aaron (Sarah) Mitchell and Amanda Mitchell; his grandchildren Isaac, Elijah and Olivia; his sister Nancy Davis; his brother Michael (JoAnn) Mitchell as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A “Celebration of Life” service will be held on October 18, 2025, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 4925 Farmingdale Dr, Colorado Springs, CO at 11:00 am with a reception immediately following.
Blair will rest peacefully at Mt. St. Francis Columbarium in Colorado Springs, CO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Blair’s name.
