It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Brayden Saxon, age 19, on June 7, 2026, in Colorado Springs. Brayden came into the world on August 28, 2006, in Colorado Springs and was the beloved son of Amy Seigel and Luke Saxon and the cherished big brother of Branson, Camden, and Caden Saxon.
Brayden’s life was characterized by deep love and loyalty to his family and friends and an insatiable curiosity fueled by his innate intelligence. He sought answers, debated passionately, and believed in possibilities. He loved history and would often surprise his family with fascinating facts. He loved all animals, from dogs to reptiles, and his dogs, Lucky and Trixie, held a special place in his heart.
Brayden was never still and was always eager for adventure. He loved the ocean so much that he braved the frigid Pacific waves in Washington State until his lips were blue and still refused to come out. He loved making his mom laugh, once ordering dinner at a drive-through using a heavy Russian accent just to see her reaction.
Brayden attended Rampart High School and most recently worked alongside his father in the family construction business, where he was a dedicated and beloved colleague to all who worked with him. He was exploring a career in welding and looked forward to advancing his skills and knowledge.
He is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his parents; his brothers, his grandparents, Tom and Diana Seigel and Loralee Ann Baker-Rapue, and a large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. His cousins, especially, were his lifelong friends and companions who shared the joys of childhood and feel this loss deeply.
A celebration of Brayden’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on July 11 at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Avenue in Colorado Springs. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and share their favorite memories. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that guests at the celebration of life bring a stuffed animal to be donated to the Colorado Springs Police Department, where it will be given to children in times of need to provide comfort and support. For those unable to attend who wish to remember Brayden, a donation in his name to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region or the organization of your choice is welcome.
