I received an email reminder that it's been a year since Brian's passing. I have no shame in denying that I didn't have tears running down my cheeks. I'd known Brian and his family since he was a Kindergartener through Voorhees Jr Wrestling. I always admired Brian's personality as he always had a smile on his face. He was also a great workout partner for my son Erik who pushed each other to become better wrestlers. 
My prayers are with the Erdek family as I can't imagine the pain of such a loss.

Brian was a friend of mine at UCCS, we were in the Fitness Buddies program together. He was such a kind man and a great friend. He was a positive influence on everyone he met and he left behind a lot of friends and fond memories around campus. He will be missed.

I knew Brian from when he was a young boy about five through his senior year of high school. Hearing the news of his passing brought tears to my eyes and pain to my heart. I can honestly say that every memory I have of Brian is a positive one. He was always such a respectful young man and a friend of both of my sons through the sport of wrestling. My prayers are with his family and friends as I couldn't imagine the pain and heartache that they're all going through. 💔 

Sending so many prayers for the family. I’m sorry for such a loss, i can’t imagine the weight your feeling. Know that God will carry you through this time, and show up in ways you can’t even imagine. So much love for you all!!

Brian was a wonderful, wonderful man. He always took care of his family, and looked out for others more than himself. His curiosity sparked dialogue with everyone and in the end, he would become your friend. We miss you Brian! May you sleep in peace as God is reserving a special spot for you in Heaven. 

I did not know you, but may have seen you around the UCCS campus or may have even had a course with you at some point without realizing. As one veteran to another, may you rest in peace, brother.
