November 7th, 1928 – March 16th, 2020. Carmen Della Croce, 91, peacefully left this life on Monday, March 16th. Carmen was born November 7th, 1928 in Colorado Springs to Carmine and Antoinette (Iarussi) Della Croce.
Carmen was married to Clara in 1948, who preceded him in death, as well as a son, Carmen Dean. He is survived by a daughter, Jeannie and her husband Don Cannella. Also survived by his two grandchildren, Donald Dean Cannella and Michelle Jean Cannella. Great grandchildren, Robert, Nicholas and Brandon Cannella and Joseph, Arianna and Matthew Haley, and a great granddaughter, Brylee Cannella. He was preceded in death by his Parents and 10 siblings. He had an extremely close relationship with his daughter and he will be forever missed.
Carmen was noted by his love of family. He was a lifelong resident of Colorado and loved the mountains. He was an avid hunter for many years. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Carmen was proud to be of Italian Heritage and passed it on to his children and grandchildren. He studied and loved history. In retirement he was a true craftsman of wood and made many beautiful pieces of furniture that will be in the family for years to come.
A Memorial service will be held at Swan-Law Funeral Directors on Sunday June 14, 2020 at 10:00 am.
