Carole Hall, resident of Colorado Springs since 1975, went to be with her Lord, December 27, 2013.
She was born November 21, 1934 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She and her husband James Hall grew up together, took piano lessons together, fell in love, and married in 1955.
Carole was preceded in death by her husband Commander James Hall, a Navy pilot who was shot down over North Viet Nam in 1972, and listed as MIA. Carole was an advocate for the MIS/POW families and organization, appearing on the Today Show, other media events and meetings, working with other activists, including John McCain. In 2000, Jim’s remains were returned and was buried in Arlington National Cemetery, where Carole will inurned with him.
Carole received a degree in piano from Christian College in Missouri and serves in church music ministry her entire life, most recently at Vista Grande Baptist Church. She was a piano teacher and invested in many lives through teaching and mentoring her students.
She loved the Lord, her family, music, nature, gardening, and the Bible, leading in-depth Precepts Bible Study classes for 25 years. She provided loving care for her daughter Julie.
Although she faced many trials and adversities, Carole lived a life of faith, service, persistence, exhibited a positive attitude and great sense of humor.
She is survived by daughter Julie, sons Jeff and John, grandchildren Tyler, Justin, Spencer and Sawyer, and sister, Judy.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, January 4, 2014, Vista Grande Baptist Church, 5680 Stetson Hills Boulevard, Colorado Springs.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a fund for Julie Hall, through Wells Fargo Bank, Academy and Montebello Branch.
