Carolyn Lucille Davids
May 29, 1928 – March 27, 2021
Carolyn Lucille (Miller) Davids, 92, entered her eternal rest on March 27, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Carolyn was born on May 29, 1928, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Aley Miller in Appanoose County, Iowa. She graduated from Cincinnati High School, Cincinnati, Iowa in 1945 and worked quality control at Maytag Manufacturing until 1948. She married Earnest Davids in February 1948. She supported Earnest in his career as they moved to Colorado Springs and nurtured her family as they thrived on the front-range. When her children grew older, Carolyn rejoined the workforce as a tape drill operator at Hewlett-Packard, later Agilent Technologies, until retiring in 1990. Carolyn loved reading, embroidering, crocheting, as well as cooking and home making. She was a devoted member of local church congregations for many, many, years. Carolyn was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart and could always bring a smile or laugh to others. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Davids; infant daughter Roberta Jean; brothers Clair Miller and Bob Miller; and sister Betty Bonnichsen. She leaves behind her daughter Barbara (Vic) Almen of Colorado Springs, CO; son Ron (Victoria) Davids of Basehor, KS; brothers William (Charlotte) Miller of Centerville, IA; Carl Miller of Colorado springs, CO; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves loving memories to be cherished by her four grandchildren, Eryn (Chad) Skinner, Andrew (Jennifer), Frederick (Julie) Davids, and Rachel Dawson. She also poured her love into the lives of her thirteen great grandchildren; Madalyn and Conrad Skinner; Jordan, Scott, Victoria, Cassandra, and Andrew Michael Davids; Noah, Eli, and Lucas Dawson; and Trevor, Tyler, and Colin Davids. Carolyn would prefer that you did not send flowers, but rather make a memorial contribution to Bridges Community Homecare and Hospice. 7150 Campus Drive, Suite 330, Colorado springs, CO 80920. She will be buried at Memorial Gardens, 3825 Airport Road.
