With the passing of Carolyn, one of the beautiful points of light on Earth has gone out. Carolyn was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, and moved to Southern California when she was five. She spent the next thirteen years there, attending school in Anaheim and Fullerton. It was while in Anaheim that she met Louis Richard Ravetti. They were married in December 1957.
The union was blessed with four children, Susan (Steve Thomas), James (Shannan), David (Helen), and John. They were the joys of her life. She also was blessed with two wonderful Grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth and Jarod Nicholas.
Carolyn was a talented individual, who excelled in many areas. She was an accomplished Cake Decorator, Woodworker and seamstress. She made beautiful stained glass and was an exceptional cook.
She accompanied her husband during his Air Force career to bases in Texas, California, South Carolina, Ohio, and Colorado. Also to bases in France and Germany.
Her battle against ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease), was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was diagnosed in December of 2004. In June of 2006, she experienced respiratory failure, and spent the remaining days on a ventilator. She spent this time with her husband, family and friends, and listening to her favorite audio books.
She is survived by her husband Lou, daughter Susan, sons James, David and John, grandchildren Sarah and Jarod, and brother John.
She was preceded in death by her mother Barbara, her brother's Paul and Steve, her sister Sandy, and her Grandson Joshua.
