She is survived by her four children, Fraser (and wife Puanana), Cass (and husband Steve), Lori and Kerry, two grandchildren, Kawehi and Stephen, her brother Fraser and sister Yvonne and many other wonderful family members and friends (and her much loved cat, Mittens).
Kay will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs, next to her late husband of many years, Percy.
We are deeply grateful to God for the 93 years of loving relationship we, her children, family and many, many friends enjoyed with her.
She was a truly unique individual as well as an exceptional mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. So many roles in her long, beautiful life and she did them all with panache and flair! She was, as they say in Newfoundland, the “best kind”.
Her vibrant spirit will live long in our memories. There was always laughter, terrific meals around the table, great stories from her formative years in Newfoundland and the life-long picnics, dances, parties and shopping excursions!
She loved people and many people, all over the world as well as in her final home here in Colorado Springs, loved her. She was generous with her friendship, giving from her heart and sharing of everything she had to give with many, both friends and strangers.
We all loved her dearly, and will miss her. But we also rejoice in the hope of the Resurrection, the goodness of God and the anticipation of reunion without end.
