Charles Leo Cruz, age 65, of Colorado Springs, Colorado went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Charles was born on July 3, 1956 in Rockdale, Texas where he was raised. Charles was in the United States Air Force from 1976 to 1978 which brought him Colorado Springs, Colorado where he resided until his passing.
Charles enjoyed being an entrepreneur. His proudest accomplishment was being the owner of the Tamale Factory in Colorado Springs which was based on his mother’s recipes. Charles enjoyed laughing, being creative and spending joyous times with family and friends.
Charles is survived by his daughter Rachel; his mother Nora; his brothers Paul Jr., Johnny and Jose; his sisters Mary Helen, Linda, Gloria, Judy and Frances; his many nieces and nephews; and all of his friends he met along the way. Charles is preceded in death by his sister Josephine, his father Paul and his brother Gerard.
