

Charles W. McAlister, born March 26, 1932 died peacefully on December 17, 2014 at his home in Colorado Springs, CO. He is survived by Eileen, his bride of 58 years, his son Steve, 3 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Verious and Agnes McAlister.
“Chuck” was born in Kansas City, Missouri where he graduated from Rochurst High School and Toledo University.
He served his country in the U.S. Army performing several tours in Vietnam and Korea. After 20 years, Chuck was honorably discharged from the Army.
Chuck loved his Catholic faith and was an active member of Corpus Christ Church where he served in the Food Pantry and completed a 4-year Bible Study at Benet Hill.
He loved genealogy and left a lengthy, well-researched history to his family, being active in the Pikes Peak Genealogy Club, and the Genealogy Computer Club.
Chuck’s family would like to thank the staff at Penrose Hospital, The Center at Centennial, and Pikes Peak Hospice for their wonderful care given to Chuck.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on December 22, 2014 at Corpus Christi Church followed by a reception in the parish hall.
